This page describes what Humanhood actually does with information today. It is a plain-language draft, not legal advice.
Browsing
You can explore Humanhood without an account. We don't run advertising trackers. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Visitor analytics (only if you say yes)
If you accept the analytics prompt, we record anonymous events — for example, that a destination panel was opened or an outbound link was clicked. These events contain no name, email, IP address, or your quiz answers. Your choice is stored in your own browser. If you decline, nothing is recorded.
Stored only in your browser
- My Little Corner: the places you save are kept in your browser's local storage on this device. They're never sent to us or to analytics, and clearing browser data removes them.
- Welcome tour: we remember whether you finished or skipped the tour so it doesn't pop up every visit.
- Return visits: we store the date of your first visit so we can say hello again. It never leaves your browser.
- Analytics choice: your yes/no answer to the analytics prompt.
None of this is used to guess anything about you.
The Suggestion Box
- We store the category, optional title, message, and submission date.
- Names and emails are not requested. Please don't include sensitive personal details.
- To prevent spam, we store a one-way scrambled fingerprint derived from your connection and the current day. It can't be read back into your IP address and is used only for rate limiting.
- Notes are only visible to the Humanhood administrator and are never published.
- Administrators may archive or delete notes at any time.
Administrator accounts
The Control Room uses email-and-password sign-in for the site administrator. Visitors don't need or have accounts.
Links to other websites
Humanhood links to independent websites (like Coulda Woulda, Mind Over Chatter, Skewed Sitch, Headcase, and Body Book). Each one may have its own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them. Please check their policies when you visit.
